ASAP Overnight for senior participants entering grades 10, 11, 12 or first-year university is the best way to get a sneak peek into life at one of the most beautiful campuses in the world! We rent a floor of residence for our participants and plan evening programs throughout the week to explore UBC and Vancouver. Participants have the opportunity to be fully immersed in the University atmosphere while making strong connections with like-minded peers.
Geering Up High School daytime camps run 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, and are each one week long. Evening programs will run shortly afterwards and into the early evening during the week. Camps don’t run on statutory holidays. 4 day week prices are prorated. Overnight Options are available from 3:00 PM Sunday to 11:00 AM Saturday and participants stay in first-year residence on the UBC Vancouver campus. Fees include daytime and evening programs as well as housing and food for the week.

Participants will be checking into Totem Park Residence which is a first-year residence area at the UBC Vancouver Campus.

Upon arrival, participants will get to connect with upper-year Overnight instructors who will be their chaperones during the Evening Programs. Supervision ratios are set at eight participants to one instructor. Check-in and Check-out will be happening at the Front Desk area of Totem Park Residence.
Geering Up will not be providing transportation to and from our site.

Participants will either be staying in a single room, double room, or a single connected room in Totem Park Residence. A Roommate preference form will be sent out three weeks prior to the program start date. We will do our best to accommodate everyone, however, it is not guaranteed that participants will get their roommate preference. Each room has a bed, drawers, mirror, desk, chair, and closet. Laundry facilities are available on-site for an additional fee. The residence is a ten-minute walk from our ASAP camps.

Participants living in residence will participate in a meal plan for Breakfast & Dinner.
For lunch, participants are required to purchase their own lunch using cash, credit or bank cards. Participants will have the option of partaking in the lunch program* during the week.

Participants will join the people in our ASAP camps during the day. Please refer to our main ASAP Summer Programs page for more details about daytime programming.
Participants will get to explore the UBC Vancouver campus and the city of Vancouver. Each night will be a mix of on and off campus activities. Past activities have included Science World, Archery Tag, and going to the beach. Instructors will survey the group each week to see what they’re interested in doing. This is a great time for participants to ask instructors any questions about University and make valuable connections.
