Bursaries 2019

We are currently only taking applications for our Kelowna location!

Thanks to the generous contributions of our supporters, we are able to offer bursaries to subsidize camp fees. Your information will be treated with complete confidentiality.

To allow our camps to be accessible to as many youth as possible, Geering Up will be offering bursaries to campers with a demonstrated financial need. We will offer 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% bursaries, although we may be able to meet your needs if you require a specific amount.

Note: Bursaries will not cover the costs of the Lunch program, but will cover the costs of Before Care and After Care.

How to Apply:

Applying for a Geering Up Bursary is a three step process:

1) You complete this form, indicating your needs. Please note that we require either a Notice of Assessment or an Endorsement Letter to confirm that your camper requires financial assistance to attend our camps. If you do not yet have your 2018 tax info yet, it is okay to use your 2017 Notice of Assessment.

2) We receive your application, review it, and if it is successful we send you a custom coupon code to fit your bursary quantity.

3) You register for camp, using the coupon code, via our online registration system.

Please fill out one form for each child. Due to high demand we are giving a maximum of one bursary per child. We want to give as many kids a chance to come to Geering Up as possible!

We have set aside a limited number of spots in each camp for bursary applicants. However, these spots will be given to successful bursary applications on a first come first serve basis. If you are concerned about camp filling up, you may register beforehand, and if your application is successful we can apply the coupon code after. This will refund the quantity of the bursary to your credit card. However, we recommend that you apply for Bursaries first before registering for camps.

Bursary Application Deadlines

There are two rounds of bursary applications:

Round 1: Closed. We are currently taking applications for Round 2.

Round 2 deadline: We are currently only taking applications for our Kelowna location.

We highly recommend that you apply before those dates, as any remaining seats saved for bursary applicants will be opened up to general registration after round 2 bursaries have been distributed. If more funding becomes available, we will try our best to support bursary applications received after our Round 2 deadline.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
